A Simple White Boho Cakesmash - Fairfield County, CT Photoshoot

If you’ve been around here for a bit, you know that I love to keep my photography backdrops simple. I love neutrals, texture, and timeless with a touch of trendy so that your baby can be the focus of the images! This all white oversized tassel garland was the perfect backdrop of Isla’s cakesmash photoshoot (spoiler…I have it in two other colors too, stay tuned!!).

I brought my portable studio setup to Isla’s home and we setup in their living room while she had her post-nap bottle…does anyone else find themselves feeling extremely jealous of the lives of babies?!? But I digress. We did some clean portraits first and then brought out the cake and had some fun. The simple and neutral naked cake style that we used is my favorite…it adds such a beautiful texture and babies love that there isn’t much frosting.

When Isla’s ADORABLE dog, Whiskey, started sniffing around I knew that we had to invite him in for a few minutes. HILARIOUS! Once we’d reached out sugar capacity for the morning, we pulled out the bubble bath and ended with the most adorable cleanup.
