Studio newborn sessions are held M-F in Shelton, CT. They are a unique blend of relaxed posing with precise attention to detail and expert swaddling. All packages include the use of the studio wardrobe and baby props..
FULL NEWBORN SESSION - $2000
25% off for clients who also book a maternity session
Comes with several wrapped and unwrapped baby poses, as well as parent, sibling and family. 30 edited and downloadable images.
PETITE NEWBORN SESSION - $1250
20% off for clients who also book a maternity session
Three swaddled poses of baby as well as 10 edited and downloadable images. Does not include family photos but can including a sibling pose.
All packages include the use of the studio wardrobe and baby props.. Partners, children and fur-babies are welcome.

I take a limited number of newborn sessions per month, because these babies come on their own schedule! Once your baby has been born, I ask you to reach out to me to let me know asap and we will schedule you. Ideally, we schedule your session between 10-20 days of birth but we can certainly work outside that range if we need to! It is recommended that you book early in your second trimester to ensure availability.

As you'll notice from my portfolio, I specialize in a simplistic style that lets your baby be the focus of the image. I love monochromatic colors and layers of texture. With that being said, I DO provide everything needed for your session - props, wraps, layers, hats, headbands.

Posed newborn photography is much more strategic than you might think. We have many strategies that we implement, both before the session and while posing, to help ensure your baby sleeps through the many poses we do. If your baby just won't sleep, we have many poses we can do that still turn out wonderful but this scenario is very, very rare!

There are scenarios where you are unable to get in at the ideal age for newborn photos, and that is ok! We can photograph newborns up to two months old when needed (and even older if the baby was born early) - please reach out to me to discuss in more detail, and I can show you what we can do!

I always direct clients to my portfolio for the best representation of the poses that I can deliver on a consistent basis. Of course every baby is different, and we let babies dictate the session.

Newborn sessions vary greatly by baby, to allow time for them to fall asleep when they are ready and to of course allow feeding and snuggle breaks. Sessions can be anywhere from 2-3 hours, depending on the circumstances.

It is recommended that you book early in your second trimester. I take on a limited number of due dates per month to ensure flexibility in scheduling, so that is the best way to ensure a spot. Sometimes when babies come early or late, I do end up with last minute openings but it cannot be guaranteed.
